Hayball have extensive experience designing and delivering community-focused projects around Melbourne, such as Library at the Dock, Nightingale’s Brunswick Village and award-winning schools. Their approach to design is based on years of research, development, testing and refining of knowledge that aligns with Assemble’s own design thinking taking a holistic approach to residential design.
“More than ever, there is a need for socially, environmentally sustainable & financially viable homes. This opportunity with Assemble gives us the chance to apply research, employ some accepted European design knowledge, and pursue our desire to design socially sustainable and ethical buildings at a scale not currently seen in the Australian market. We are thrilled to be involved at the beginning of this evolution, providing a missing and much needed element to the current housing offering in Melbourne.”
With over 1000 responses from our community survey now being shared with Hayball, 15 Thompson St is beginning to take shape. The feedback received will assist us in determining the apartment types, floorplans and interior features along with the communal spaces and landscaping to suit the needs of our future residents.
“Hayball is built on a culture of collaborative research-led design. We focus on designing buildings that make a positive impact for the occupant, community and wider world. We have a strong history of contribution back to the industry and community. It is part of our founding ethos to improve the world we live in through meaningful built environment outcomes”
We’re still listening. It’s not too late to have your opinion heard. Whether you’re a Kensington local or interested in becoming a resident of 15 Thompson St, we’d love to hear your thoughts to help shape the vision for the project through our survey.
