Kris Daff
Managing Director

Kris is the Managing Director of Assemble and is also Managing Director of Make Ventures, a property development and investment company. Originally trained as an engineer, Kris is an experienced property professional and, on the weekends, he can be found cycling around the bay – or swimming in it with his family.
Matt Ablethorpe
Development Director

Matt is the Development Director of Assemble and Co-director of Make Ventures, a property development and investment company. He is an experienced real estate executive, and more importantly – a gifted birthday cake baker for his two daughters. Matt’s experience includes asset, development and funds management across a range of sectors.
Emma Telfer
Director, Impact & Engagement

Emma is our Director of Impact & Engagement. A passionate urbanist and cultural leader, Emma recently joined Assemble after five years at the helm of Open House Melbourne, a public architecture organisation that works to improve design literacy and appreciation for the value of good design in the built environment. Now a proud Melburnian - however, Jacinda Ardern and the flightless bird will always represent home.
Rebecca Shackleton
Director, Relationships & Marketing

Rebecca is Assemble’s Relationship and Marketing Director and is charged with driving strategy to ensure that Assemble project objectives are met. Rebecca brings more than 15 years of industry experience to the business, she has extensive property marketing and sales experience, specialising in insight-driven marketing strategies, and driving high-performance sales teams. When Rebecca isn’t in the office, you can find her chasing her toddler and Schnoodle around parks in the inner north.
Director, Wellness

Sadie is a good girl. Her calming nature is often found around the office circling the legs of the Assemble team to garner pats and scratches. On weekends, when she's not at home, she enjoys meeting future residents. Her favourite winter pastime is acting as a foot warmer.
Tom Billings
Director, Partnerships

Tom joined Assemble as Director of Partnerships, focusing on partnering with value-aligned organisations to deliver affordable housing at scale under an infrastructure style model. Tom is motivated to address the shortage of low to moderate income housing in Australia - which is now at crisis point.
Dan Moore
Director, Operations

As Head of Operations, Dan’s role is to oversee the general operations of our Assemble properties. With a strong background managing diverse communities in Student accommodation and Build to Rent, both in the UK and Australia, Dan is driven to ensure the Residents have an exceptional living experience in our Assemble properties. Dan is a keen soccer player and is an avid supporter of Sheffield Wednesday Football club.
Sam Delmenico
Director, Design and Construct

Sam has over 15 years industry experience and has earned the reputation as a delivery focused construction professional. Most recently, Sam held the position as Managing Director of Probuild’s Western Australian and Victorian Business Units. Sam is passionate about making a positive difference in the property industry and achieves this through delivering the best outcomes for business, clients, partners and the teams he leads whilst ensuring a positive contribution to the broader community.
Justine Boland
Relationships Manager

Justine joins Assemble as Relationships Manager. With a keen interest in Property and Development, Justine has 8 years experience working in Residential Development Sales and Marketing bringing projects across Melbourne to market and achieving a high level of success through their campaigns. When she isn’t in the office, Justine is out and about walking the streets of Melbourne with her sausage dog Rufus or dining out at one of the local restaurants.
Nat Burcul
Media & Communications Manager

As our Media & Communications Manager, Nat shares over 12 years of experience working with various iconic Australian property, design, hospitality, FMCG and luxury lifestyle brands. In her spare time, you can find Nat reading the papers from cover to cover over brunch with her puppy Jerry, at her local wine bar or on the tennis court.
Emma Chen
Assistant Accountant

Emma graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Masters degree in Professional Accounting and is a Certified Practising Accountant in Melbourne. With more than 7 years experience in the Purpose-Built Student Accommodation sector, she is passionate about property management accounting. Originally from China, Emma now considers Australia her home. In her spare time, you may spot her at the zoo with her young daughter, or in vintage shops browsing stamps and coins.
Heather Christodoulou
Relationships Manager

Heather understands the importance of creating great relationships with all of her clients offering transparency, seamless service and exceptional outcomes. With over 18 years working with residential developers, she has an intimate knowledge of off-the-plan residential development sites from land estates, house and land packages, and small to high-end apartment projects. When Heather is away from the office, she is either hiking up a mountain, practicing yoga or creating artwork.
Simon Denny
Project Director

With 17 years of experience, Simon has successfully delivered developments across a broad range of sectors including residential, retail, education and commercial developments in Australia, New Zealand and United Kingdom.
Stephen Dodd
Project Manager

Originally from Perth, Stephen moved across to Melbourne 4 years ago in Development Management role and successfully delivered two portfolios of multi-residential developments. Stephen is passionate about urban regeneration and excited to make a positive contribution to the future of housing in Australia. He enjoys spending time outdoors, trail running, in the ocean or experiencing the Melbourne culture with friends.
David Dragun
Relationships Manager

David joins the Assemble team as one of our Relationship Managers, bringing with him 17 years of experience working in real estate, including holding senior management positions with prominent national developers. David’s enthusiasm and professionalism are highly regarded within the Melbourne property market. When he isn’t busy working, David enjoys time with his family and two young children, plays the guitar, and trains for the Melbourne Marathon running the Tan.
Luke Eden
Neighbourhood Operations Manager

Having spent several years working in the purpose-built student accommodation sector, with a passion for connecting with people, Luke is our Neighbourhood Operations Manager. With an extensive background in customer service and people management, Luke is focused on building engaged teams and fostering a strong sense of community for our Assemble residents. Luke loves immersing himself in Melbourne’s culinary delights, feasting with friends on the weekend, down the coast with family, or relaxing at his local café.
Madeline Ellerm
Communications Coordinator & Designer

Maddie is the communications designer at Assemble Papers and Assemble, and has a background in graphic design, art direction and marketing. Hailing from New Zealand, Maddie is happiest with a camera in hand, hiking in the wilderness and swimming in the ocean.
Nathan Elliot
Development Assistant

Riding for the MAKE sponsored National Road Series cycling team, InForm TM Insight MAKE, Nathan has taken a keen interest in the business and property development sector. After studying medicine and considering a change in careers, Nathan jumped at the opportunity to become part of the company and is loving his work as a development assistant.

Senior Operations Manager

Nicola is our Senior Operations Manager and has extensive experience in the Purpose-Built Student Accommodation sector, in both the UK and Australia. She is passionate about people and delivering an exceptional level of service to our residents, creating a unique approach in a traditional property management market. She is a lover of Melbourne’s culture, you will often find her out and about exploring the city.
Andy Fergus
Head of Urban Design

Andy is our Head of Urban Design, providing guidance on the visioning, briefing, and design of Assemble projects, from the neighbourhood scale down to the individual building. He is passionate about design advocacy both within the industry and the broader community and holds a number of roles including co-director of Melbourne Architours, leadership committee member for Resilient Melbourne, Melbourne School of Design, Contributing Guest Editor for Architecture Australia and writes regularly for a range of design industry publications.
Jessica Githiomi
Marketing Manager

Her passion lies in branding with an honours degree in Advertising and Brand Management, Jessica has spent the last couple of years at Hoyne, Australia’s largest independent property marketing agency. With a wealth of knowledge in the sector, Jessica’s passion is creating unique project campaigns that lead the market.  Originally from the UK, Jessica likes to spend her spare time on Australian adventures. From snowboarding over winter to camping trips down the coast in the summer, Jessica is immersing herself in the Aussie way of life.
Lizzie Ham
Relationships Coordinator

With over 10 years experience working in the property industry in the UK, Lizzie is eager to help us on our journey to build new communities. She is responsible for assisting new and existing customers throughout the commitment process. Being new to Melbourne, you will find Lizzie discovering new places to eat out, on a beach walk, or enjoying one of Australia’s great camping spots.

Investment Manager

A Chartered Accountant with over 10 years’ experience in the property industry, Alex’s expertise lie in site acquisition, development feasibility, disposal and investment management. In his spare time, Alex likes to go to the park with his wife and pugalier pup – Yoda.
Ulrich Koob
Neighbourhood Experience Lead

Trained in Hotel and Tourism management and with a great passion for all things food and beverage, Ulrich has two decades in the hospitality sector running various outlets from cafés, bars and restaurants. If he's not getting his hands dirty at the community garden or out for a big walk with his dog you might run into him at markets on the weekend. With German-Swedish heritage, he arrived in Australia over 12 years ago and now calls Melbourne his home.
Ingrid Langtry
Place, Retail & Experience Manager

Ingrid is the Place, Retail & Experience Manager at Assemble. An experienced designer with a background in retail strategy and sustainability,  she is responsible for creating our Assemble Spaces, ensuring they are meaningful places for Assemble residents and the broader neighbourhood. A keen skier, hiker and cook, Ingrid can be found in the mountains or by the coast and never far from a feast.
Kimberly Lau
Design Manager

Kimberly joins Assemble as a Senior Design Manager and will manage key aspects of planning and design development for multiple projects across the Assemble portfolio. With 14 years of experience in the tier 1 construction industry, both in front-end and project delivery, she is passionate about thoughtful architecture and driving high quality project outcomes. Outside of work, you will find her working on the next renovation project with her partner and exploring the outdoors with her two young children.
Mee Leng Lee
Accountant, Contractor

Mee Leng (pronounce like Maling) is an experienced Financial Accountant with extensive experience in construction, property, and funds management. She enjoys the small things in life like walkabouts along the local neighbourhood walking trails and discovering unique local cafes, bakery, and handicraft businesses along the way. On one walkabout she found a small local street name after her in the Eastern suburbs (Maling Road- Canterbury 3126).
Leona Li
Property Accountant

Leona joined Assemble as Property Accountant, focusing on project accounting, forecasting and provides insightful analysis on project performance. Leona is an experienced Certified Practising Accountant with a background in property development projects in Victoria and Queensland. In her spare time, Leona enjoys visiting the local Sunday markets, watching movies, and exploring nice food around Melbourne.
Robyn Lukstin
Head of Planning

Robyn’s experience lies in statutory and strategic planning, working on a wide range of projects during her career across both the public and private sectors. She has the proven ability to provide practical, actionable responses to complex questions. When she’s not fine-tuning her Spanish language skills – Robyn shares her hidden talent as a disc jockey with her friends.

With an honours degree in multimedia design and a background in property branding and customer service, Sally brings a complementary set of skills to the marketing team.

Project Coordinator

Alannah is a qualified planner with experience in strategic and statutory planning. Her expertise includes assessing complex planning permits, facilitating community workshops and providing research assistance. In her spare time, Alannah can be found exploring the sites of Melbourne as she recently moved from Perth, Western Australia.

Financial Coach

Sarah takes a holistic approach to her financial coaching and is a strong believer that good money management is essential for our overall wellbeing. She enjoys spending time with her young kids and travelling the world.
Maggie McKeand
Community Engagement & Partnerships Manager

Maggie has a background in community engagement for the public, private, and NGO sectors as well as a Masters of Environment. She is passionate about sustainable development and purpose-led business models that enable us to reduce our carbon footprint and enhance community wellbeing. In her spare time, you can find her at a farmers market, on the yoga mat, or pottering in her garden with mixed results!
James Mirtschin
Development Analyst

As a Development Analyst, James draws from his experience in real estate advisory and valuation to effectively evaluate all project opportunities, new and existing. Recently returning from 3 years of living and working in New York City, James enjoys escaping to the beach or to his family’s farm in south-west Victoria.
Rob Moffatt
Project Director

Rob joined the team as Project Director, leading the strategy formation and delivery of some of Assemble’s new and exciting projects. Rob has led major projects as a construction professional in Melbourne, Dubai and London. Passionate about addressing the housing shortage, Rob is motivated to drive optimal development outcomes for all stakeholders. When he is not in the office, Rob loves spending time with his wife and two daughters travelling to new places and meeting new people.

Cameron is an Associate Director in the Partnerships team, applying his expertise in the development, structuring and financing of infrastructure projects to the challenge of delivering affordable housing. In his spare time, Cameron can be found swimming in the bay or building things around the house.

Associate, Partnership

Matt is an Associate in Assemble’s Partnerships team, supporting the development of sustainable affordable housing under an infrastructure style model. Matt brings experience in infrastructure advisory, capital raising and structuring to the team. Outside of work Matt can be found playing tennis and golf.
Sophie Rzepecky
Editor & Cultural Strategist

Sophie Rzepecky is the editor of Assemble Papers. Her focus is on the intersecting worlds of art, design, architecture and emerging technologies, and how they provoke new ideas for living together. She studied social design at the Design Academy Eindhoven, which instilled in her the accountability and responsibility design holds in the built and digital environment. Originally from Aotearoa, she has lived between Eindhoven, Rotterdam and Berlin for several years, working with architects such as OMA and artists such as Tomás Saraceno.
Tim Schaefer
Project Manager

As Project Manager at Assemble, Tim oversees the delivery of projects from tender through construction to handover. He is an experienced construction professional with a career spanning 12 years delivering high-end homes, multi-residential developments, commercial and retail spaces. In his spare time, Tim loves water and snow skiing and playing golf.
Manny Singh
Finance Manager

Manny is a specialist in finance and accounting with over 15 years’ professional experience in the property investment and development industries. He is an avid cricket fan who enjoys spending time with his young kids and watching movies in his spare time.
Sophie Tilley
Digital Marketing Manager

Sophie is passionate about all things digital with a masters in Marketing Communications. Sophie brings with her 6 years experience in digital marketing working in the film and health industries. In her free time, you can find Sophie on her rollerskates or catching up on the latest indie films at the cinema.
